Coleco ADAM USB Keyboard Adapter

Description

This adapter enables an unmodified Coleco ADAM keyboard to work as a USB keyboard on any modern computer. The Coleco Adam keyboard was one of the best keyboards of its time with its modern layout and build quality.

It supports modifier keys like “SHIFT,” “CONTROL,” and “ALT (Mapped to WILD CARD).” Note that the ADAM keyboard doesn’t have the ability to select just the “CONTROL” key by itself without pressing a combination of an alphanumeric key at the same time. This behavior makes it impossible to do a combination of “CONTROL-ALT-DELETE” like a standard PC keyboard.

The ADAM keyboard is powered directly by the PC through the adapter.

The adapter includes a one-foot USB cable for PC connection.

You can order an ADAMnet cable (NOT INCLUDED) as an option if your keyboard cable is missing. The optional cable is a standard “reverse” gray flat cable and not a coiled cable like the original factory beige ADAMnet keyboard cable. Limit two per customer.
